What is a soundbath?

A soundbath is a guided meditation using instruments, like singing bowls, gongs, chimes and tuning forks. It is both a mental and physical experience, that is meant to relax the mind and body.

The instruments’ frequencies affect your nervous system to stimulate relaxation. If you have trouble with meditation (or even if you’re a pro), the sounds can help bring better focus for entering a meditative state—especially for those with overactive, racing minds.

What can I expect from a Soundbath by Kylie?

A comforting, relaxing and mind-clearing experience. I play up to five quartz singing bowls and one Chinese gong for about 40 minutes for each session. Settling in and coming back up will round out the session to about 50 minutes.

This is a soundbath experience for people of all beliefs and backgrounds. My goal is to stimulate relaxation for my clients, helping those who are stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. I will help bring 40 mins of your day back to you, with a grounding experience.

What can I expect for a soundbath in my home?

Please allow a 90 minute window for your appointment. Wear clothes that will be comfortable for a laying position. Please clear an area for me to set up the instruments—preferably 4’x4’ in an area where you/the group can lay down on couches or comfortable mats. If mats or eye pillows are needed, please let me know before the appointment.

What can I expect at the Silver Lake studio?

The Soundbath by Kylie studio is located in the second floor of the shopping center at Fountain and Sunset. Here, you will get the full soundbath experience in an intimate setting with all instruments, comfortable bedding, blankets and eye pillow. There is a parking lot at the shopping center, and also meter parking on the street.

Can my pet or child attend the soundbath at my home?

Yes! I’ve performed soundbaths for dogs that have resulted in calming experiences. I have performed for children as young as 5 years old. Everyone will have a different experience, so please be mindful of how pets and children are receiving the soundbath. Children tend to have shorter attention spans, so if a shorter session is required, please let me know. I have a decibel meter that I monitor throughout the soundbath, and keep the volume at a lower level for more sensitive participants.
